Dr. Sanchez-Collins listens with interest and attention when discussing symptoms and issues concerning my care. She is caring and extremely knowledgeable and makes thoughtful suggestions for additional steps with other healthcare providers. I am extremely happy with her as my primary care physician.

It was our first meeting, and I had a lot to ask of her. She took it all in stride and helped me a lot. She showed me grace, authenticity, and care. I look forward to my formal transfer of care to her practice.

Dr. Sharika Sanchez-Collins is awesome. She listens to my concerns, includes me in the decision making, and most importantly follows up on issues I may have had. I'm so happy she's my primary doctor. She's worth her weight in gold and then some.

After being cleared by an ER visit (not NW) of any infection and good vitals, I was discharged. I decided to keep a scheduled appointment with Dr. Sanchez-Collins. Dr. Sanchez-Collins' intelligence and perception was used to determine that I was very ill. She simply told me "your vitals are good but I don't like how you look. My nurse will take you to NW's ER now." NW's ER determined that I had pneumonia severe enough to be hospitalized. Again, thank you Dr. Sanchez-Collins.

The doctor was very kind and helpful. She carefully listened to my concerned and answered all my questions. I wish she will stay at NM so that I will be able to see her again for my future annual exams.

She is very knowledgeable and and aware of any issues that might have an impact on larger health issues. She knows what needs to be checked in the amount of time for the visit, and makes sure these points get covered. Yet she still has a personal way of relating, and doesn't rush or dismiss any of my concerns. She is upbeat and easy to talk to, which encourages me to continue being proactive with my health.

Really great at listening to my concerns and had great follow up questions related to my concerns. She seemed thoughtful of me as an individual as opposed to “based on age, gender- you should do this…”

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
