5.0 star star star star starI’m really satisfied with the level of care that Dr. Burrell provides. She takes the time to give me a thorough examination and addresses all of my questions and concerns. A few months ago, I experienced a minor medical issue while out of town and on vacation, and her and her staff couldn’t be more accommodating and really came to my rescue.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Burrell is very professional as well as personable. She took amazing care of my brother when he had cancer and found things that the surgeons and other high ranking specialists did not. She took me on as a patient and immediately had me see a urologist which probably saved me from having my prostate out. She is an outstanding primary care physician.

5.0 star star star star starI wish she would have rescheduled her late first appointment rather than have her other appointments have to be so delayed with their appointments. Doesn’t seem fair that the many should have to suffer for the inconsideration of the few.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI was extremely happy to see Dr. Burrell back after her long absence because during my many new health challenges I have hoped she would be the only source of overseeing and guiding the process of managing my healthcare, however the review of the problem list didn’t include all of my most recent new diagnoses I’m being treated for, nor have they since been listed, so I guess I’m not sure and this is very frustrating. While I always try to update my information in the on-line chart, it feels like a waste of time as it has been determined that only the primary provider is authorized to update the actual chart. Essentially this becomes a problem list that does not reflect one’s current health conditions being treated for many months, as when visiting other providers, the see nothing? If she and I don’t catch up at some point then it feels like there will be less chance to receive a continuity of healthcare within the system.

5.0 star star star star starMy husband and mother-in-law both see Dr. Burrell and have spoke so highly of her. Since we moved and the office is closer to my work as well, I am very happy they both were exactly right! I didn't feel like a dollar sign, but a patient in need of the proper care.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
