4.0 star star star star star_borderDr. Ko came highly recommended by my suburban orthopedic specialist, which is why I sought him out. Seems very competent (no surprise), but have only spent a few minutes with him thus far, so still getting to know him.

5.0 star star star star starHe introduced himself when he came into the room. He said that Dr. Vavra told him out me. That was very comforting knowing that Dr. Vavra remembered & cared enough to mention me & that Dr. Ko told me. He’s smart. His exam was extremely thorough.

5.0 star star star star starDr Ko of course was the greatest part of this experience. My condition was new, rare and confusing. His consultation was just perfect. Starting with his detailed physical assessment of my wrist all the way through the attentive and expert and approachable manner, he helped us thoroughly understand my condition and options. Add to his expertise his perfectly spot-on warm demeanor and anything anyone could ever need to ensure the best possible visit was there.

5.0 star star star star starDr Ko and his entire team are empathetic professionals that take the time to really listen to their patients. They were thorough explainers of my situation as well as the proposed treatment plans and gave me plenty of opportunities to ask questions. This was a complete 180 from the experience I had with the NM Dermatology doctor that referred to me to Dr Ko.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
