5.0 star star star star starBrittney Degreef was extremely knowledgeable, professional and very thorough. She asked all the right questions regarding my family health history. And then she explained everything that would transpire during the genetic testing process. Additionally, she was very patient in answering all my questions regarding this entire process.

5.0 star star star star starShe was able to look up the legacy information that I had, and update everything since then. She was very knowledgeable in answering all my questions, and keeping me informed of what will be done in the next study.

5.0 star star star star starI was not sure what to expect going into my visit, but all of my nerves were eased when I met Brittany and the intern that was working with her. They were extremely thorough, and made me feel comfortable enough to ask any questions I may have. Getting genetic testing done can be a scary process, but I felt very heard and could feel the empathy from Brittany and her intern - even through the screen :) I feel very lucky to be getting care from such knowledgeable, caring people!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
