I have had a fantastic experience with Dr. Ellis. This process has been very anxiety inducing for me and his bedside manner and care is very attuned to this and he has continued to show up in a way that seeks to minimize my fear and make me feel safe and supported. I felt very informed of the process and am very happy with my results and follow-up care as well.

Dr. Ellis is very detail-orientated, for a surgery like mine it was really reassuring the see that from the beginning. I appreciated how he took the time to answer my questions thoroughly. I also appreciate that Dr. Ellis and the people at his office made me feel safe to be authentically trans. Dr. Ellis was the only surgeon I could find in the Chicago area who had experience with trans patients.

Dr. Ellis is so smart, talented and caring. I was freezing in the preop room. I put my winter jacket over my gown while in bed. There must have been 20 people in and out between nurses, doctors, students and residents. No one asked if I was cold except Dr. Ellis. He personally went out to get me two blankets. Just wonderful.

I selected Dr. Ellis after reading his bio when choosing a plastic surgeon to do some reconstructive work after my Gastro sleeve. I lost a lot of weight and there were some parts of me that were embarrassing parts that were irritating my skin other parts that didn't make me feel beautiful that didn't make me feel Sexy, and that kind of made me feel unhealthy and ashamed. The first thing that Dr. Ellis did for me repaired my breast they were embarrassedly unattractive very flat and without life, and the fact that they were so flat they were causing irritation. I didn't know what to do, even in selecting a man to do my surgery required some bravery because I was embarrassed of them. I didn't even show my body to my husband after Dr. Ellis took the little tissue that I had and the skin that was there as well and reconstructed my breast to actually look like breast, I knew his hands were blessed by God I returned to Dr. Ellis to have the skin that was flapping over my pelvic Area removed basically atomic talk but once again something that I was extremely embarrassed to do again the weight loss required me to have so much skin and I just wanted to look like a woman again when it was time for this surgery [date], My husband had just passed away three months prior so this surgery was very emotional for me because I was emotional. I explained this to the team and I have to tell you they have been like an extended family Dr. Ellis thank you for giving me my smile back. Thank you for giving me the courage to stay in front of a mirror, and smile with confidence

Typically, you say there are no words to describe a person.However,Dr. Marco F Ellis is absolutely wonderful! Dr. Ellis is very knowledgeable and thorough.Plain and simple he knows what he's doing. He's very kind and concerned about his patient well-being.He's a physician that talks with you to you and not at you.He's patient with any questions you may have with a clear explanation.Your healthcare and what's going on is important to him.Where others thought it was a loss cause for me.
