5.0 star star star star starHe’s a very knowledgeable doctor. And very kind. However, I felt like he was rushed this last time and some of my bigger questions are still left unanswered. If that’s just the nature of the disease and the inability to predict what will happen that’s fine. Either way would recommend him and nm numerology.

5.0 star star star star starHe spent time listening to me. Hearing me and explaining in ways I understand how we are moving forward with my treatment. I feel trust with him. He really knows MS. I didn't feel rushed. His bedside manner is kind and honest.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderThe doctor didn't do an exam. He talked with me for a short time, asked me about pain and weakness and then marked all the neuro test results as "normal" in my chart (except the ones he directly asked about). I tried to tell him about other symptoms or issues I regularly have with my disease, but he was completely uninterested and cut me off. As I left the exam room, I heard him tell his staff to get the next patient because he had to leave at 3. It's no wonder why no exam was performed. The worst part is the falsification of my medical chart. If medicaid or Medicare review my chart, I will have to answer for those (false) results. I will be the one to have to prove an already proven disability. He is potentially putting my benefits, health, and my financial well-being at risk. Also what he has done would be considered Medicare/Medicaid fraud. I am considering reporting this to Medicare and medicaid. It is really disappointing, northwestern is a great place, I worked there (on the neuro unit) in the past but had to leave because of this disease. This is completely unacceptable from any health care institution.

5.0 star star star star starDr Balabanov is a truly caring doctor, and treats me with “personal†care! He treats me like a person, not just another random appointment. I respect his input on everything! I know that he’s really taking ME, MY HEALTH as the most important aspect of everything!

5.0 star star star star starDr Balabanov was both knowledgeable and extremely compassionate during my visit. He took the time to explain things and assuage any concerns I had, which was extremely helpful because I have anxiety.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
