5.0 star star star star starDr. Strauss was the first to really explain and sketch the location of my cancer. Finally, I had a better understanding and visualization of the radiation treatment goal. He answered all of my questions, and was excellent at conveying clearly the information I needed to better grasp the treatments I was facing.

5.0 star star star star starI actually picked Dr. Strauss after reading his bio and impressive research on NW website. So glad I was able to bet a quick appointment him. His resident was outstanding explaining in great detail about my treatment (5 days of radiation). Then Dr. Strauss came in and was extremely kind and again explained my situation in great detail. He took his time to listen to me and said not to rush as he had me slated for an hour. We did not need all that time but just for him to mention it meant a lot to me. I will start treatment, I believe, in mid-October. Actually looking forward to seeing his team again. Could not be in better hands.

5.0 star star star star starHe has a rare combination of qualities that you rarely see in a leader. Words won't do him justice. He is a presence to behold. Kind, caring, organized, visionary and so so smart. I'm excited to be in his care.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
