As a mom of two sons with autism, I take the time to review providers when they exceed my expectations. (And, in honesty, I'm pretty vocal when they don't, too!) This Orthopedic Doctor (Patel) is fantastic at really LISTENING to patients, and respectful of people with special needs. So often doctors only talk with the caretaker. This doctor spoke with my son like the adult he is, with respect. Afterwards, he also spoke with me (the mom) to make sure I understood the treatment plan and why he and my son agreed on the plan. As an advocate for people with special needs, I've heard horror stories of insensitive providers. So, it's important to point out those who are compassionate.
