5.0 star star star star starDr. Vercillo is an excellent thoracic surgeon. He performed surgery on me in late 2024 which was very successful. He has followed up with me on my progress and explains results of my ct scans. He is very upbeat and explains things in an easy manner.

4.0 star star star star star_borderAt first I thought I picked the wrong Dr. he doesn't mix his word. Straight forward. After talking with him it got better. He really explained everything for me that my 2 other drs didn't. He is the doctor for me going forward.

5.0 star star star star starHe's awesome and explains everything. He also helped me come up with decisions instead of just telling me what he thought himself and really explained every thing on both of my options. Highly recommend

5.0 star star star star starDr Vercillo is a fantastic surgeon. He takes all the time needed to ensure you understand everything, and doesn't rush through appointments. I'm about to have my second lung surgery performed by him, and there's no one I trust more.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
