5.0 star star star star starShe is so knowledgeable and really has the best bedside manner. She is my dr because of very scary medical issues that I have. And she always is so kind and makes me feel like my fears about my health are valid. But at the same time she is so reassuring that she will take care of me. She really is the best dr.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Vavra was very patient, caring, understanding, and empathetic to my patient. She didn't rush my visit and was very thorough. She gave me her decision after the evaluation and explained why she had come to that conclusion. Dr. Vavra offered other solutions for my issue as well. She even offered for me to message her/ team with any other questions and that if needed I could always see her in person too. I highly recommend her!

5.0 star star star star starDr Vavra is a highly skilled surgeon. She's also an excellent communicator, compassionate, detail oriented, thoughtful etc. I can't say enough good things. She performed a successful first rib resection and scalenectomy on my 19 year old daughter in May. My daughter received outstanding care from Dr. Vavra and her team. Highly recommend!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
