At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
I feel like he has my health issue committed to memory. He comes in and talks about what has gone on stating information about tests etc without paperwork in front of him. He is so busy with patients that I am amazed he can remember so much.
He knew my case, had reviewed my scans, sample pathology results, Etc. And didn't start by asking redundant questions but went straight to listing my options for treatment, not "guessing" or "thinking" what can be done but specifically the routes to pursue, pros and cons on each and the best order to have them
Dr. VanderWeele is very thorough. He and his staff take the time to familiarize themselves with my file before seeing me. Any questions I have Dr. VanderWeele has a well thought out answer that I can understand. He watches over my bloodwork to make sure I'm handling my treatments.
Cant say enough good things about Dr. V. Hes obviously very intelligent and especially knowledgeable about his field and keeps abreast of the latest advances in treatment of my cancer. He gives me the straight scoop during our visits and addresses any concerns I may have. Hes got a great sense of humor; can take it and dish it out. Hes very tall but is willing to prevaricate on his exact height if it means I will lose a bet with his staff. So, if height prevarication is his worst fault then I say do whatever you must to keep him on Northwesterns staff (at least until he cures me or I kick the bucket). Thanks.
