5.0 star star star star starVery informative and knowledgeable without being condescending. Made me very comfortable. Answered my questions completely and didn’t make me feel rushed. I know they do this many times but for me the information was new and I felt her compassion.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Carol Emi Bretschneider is the BEST along with her assistant and staff. She/they make extra time to explain everything and listen to your questions. I just met her this last Wednesday after and issues from a surgery the Thursday before and my doctor was out of town. She got me back to CDH yesterday for a follow-up surgery. Called and spoke with me at home beforehand, came and spoke with me before surgery, acknowledged my husband and asked him if he had any concerns or questions. I'm now healing and feeling much better. Dr. Carol Emi Bretschneider and Lisa (assistan) both get multiple gold stars ????

5.0 star star star star starDr Bretschneider is the kindest, compassionate and caring person/physician I have ever treated with. She makes me feel at ease and I don’t feel self conscious about my issue She is also very intelligent and works to find a solution to your problem that is right for you. She discusses and answers all my questions and I never feel rushed. I’ve worked in the hospital system in the past and I have never met such an awesome doctor. I give her a 10 ++ and highly recommend her.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
