5.0 star star star star starDr. Merk's office is a well oiled machine. He is personable, along with the other members of his staff. The registration clerks are friendly and efficient. My visits are completed in a timely fashion. The moment that I take my number upon my arrival I am called to the registration clerk. I didn't even have a chance to warm up my seat. =) All physicians offices, and departments should be run like this fine establishment. My reason for my visits was not life threating nor did I require surgery - regardless of this I was taken good care of. Thank You!

5.0 star star star star starI saw Dr. Merk after meeting w two other doctors about my fractured left elbow. Dr. Merk and his resident conducted the most thorough review of my arm and elbows range of movement and various movements. This was important as Dr. Merk was the only one that did not recommend surgery. Dr. Merk provided a very thorough explanation of the injury and how it would heal. We covered all available treatments and protocols. He did this all in a very efficient yet thoughtful manner.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Merk was confident in his diagnosis, he also went above and beyond with his explanations and my concerns. We had seen another doctor earlier that day and did not even mention that there could be any other damage from my injury and Dr Merk addressed all the possible outcomes. He was confident that he would get me as close to 100% of where I was prior to my accident.

5.0 star star star star starDr Merk and his staff have taken care of me since 2017. He is a very compassionate person and take up time to not only to check his work but also ask me about other things that could effect my overall safety. I am very grateful to Dr Merk and his staff.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
