5.0 star star star star starDr. Mahieu is caring and thorough when asking about current symptoms and discuss treatment options. It's great to have a doctor that not only assesses where you are today but where you could be in the future. Discussing progress and treatment is key and Dr. Mahieu excels at that for sure.

5.0 star star star star starDr Mary Mahieu is absolutely incredible. I have never known professionalism like it. She took an hour to go over every symptom I have after being diagnosed with lupus and made a plan to move forward. I can't express how hard this diagnosis has been and the amount of doctors who have just pushed me in one door and out the other before we was able to establish what my health condition is but Dr Mahieu was the ideal specialist. I would recommend to all!

5.0 star star star star starHighly professional, compassionate and demonstrates excellent knowledge and experience regarding her medical specialty of Rheumatology. Dr. Mathieu takes the time to listen to her patients, inviting her patients to be proactive in their medical care, i.e., creating a "partnership" scenario. Dr. Mathieu is one of the best physicians I have encountered at Northwestern. I have been a patient at Northwestern for over 20 years.

5.0 star star star star starIn 2008, I was transferred from Delnor Hospital in Geneva to Northwestern Hospital with meningitis. No-one at Delnor could figure it out, at NW Chicago, they did. The doctors and team saved my life. Thank you!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
