Dr. Schaeffer was very thorough in describing what I should expect regarding my care. He answered all of my questions. I feel very confident in my decision to be treated by Dr. Schaeffer and his staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
There is a reason why Dr. Schaeffer is the department chair. Understandable and honest answers to the questions posed by myself and my wife. Efficient but not rushed. I left feeling lucky that I was able to score an appointment with him. Also, I sent the doctor a few more questions late Sunday night which he answered very early Monday morning. Impressed with the entire operation so far.
Dr. Schaeffer has been extremely helpful, professional, clear in his description and discussion of my condition, sincerely concerned and always available. Our experience has been extremely positive and we have have complete trust and confidence in Dr. Schaeffer. We have recommmeded him on several occasions to friends with prostate issues.
Dr. Schaeffer was recomended for being highly knowledgeable on dealing with prostate issues. I felt he was sincere and thorough with giving me a second opinion on the status of my Prostate cancer that was diagnosed.
Underlying every interaction I've had with Dr. Schaeffer is his deep care for my wellbeing. I know he's extremely busy and pulled in many directions but, when he's with me, I feel as if I'm his only concern. He truly is a remarkable, confidence-inspiring doctor and a wonderful person.
Dr. Schaeffer was not only knowledgeable, but a good listener, and encouraging. He examined me and was generous with his time. He agreed with the course of treatment. I was heartened by the chuck on the shoulder he gave me and his words: "Don't worry, you're in good hands, everything will turn out fine."
