5.0 star star star star starShe thoroughly reviewed Ryan's case and presented his complicated case to other urologists. We hope we found our forever urologist. It is amazing how many are not as competent or thorough, but she really was wonderful and personable. It was a pleasure to meet her and hope we can keep Ryan healthy

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderDr Bowen is extremely competent and talented in her field, but I wish I had gotten more information about what my surgery would entail (an info-sheet, or even just the name of the surgery itself and all the potential changes/techniques) so I could have done my own reading and stuff about it. I wish I had known what my surgery was called, at least so I could be mentally prepared for the pain.

5.0 star star star star starSo far, she really paid attention to the information we have presented and seems ridiculously smart and experienced. We have had a lot of urologists and she has been extremely professional and clearly understands how complicated this case is

5.0 star star star star starDr Bowen really listened to me and took the time to answer my questions. My previous urologist is in San Francisco so I am trying to find someone local but am nervous about switching. She put my mind at ease and seems to truly care about her patients.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
