1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderHe seems nice but zero patience for the pain I am in and I didn’t feel very understood. Arguing over a symptom wasn’t what I needed. Was also prescribed initial meds that I couldn’t take.

5.0 star star star star starI love Dr. Gupta’s bedside manner and professional approach to being my care provider! I feel safe and well cared for by him due to his excellent communication skills and ability to interact with the specialists taking care of me also. He is central to my coordination of care, and I’m very grateful.

4.0 star star star star star_borderDr. Gupta was thorough in his assessment of my illness. It was easy to book an appointment online. My only two hiccups were I only had a small break from work and it was a 20 minute wait after my appointment time to be seen, despite that I was about 20 minutes early for my appointment. My other hiccup was, the nurse confirmed what pharmacy I'd like my medicine sent to, but the Dr. sent it to a different pharmacy that was in the system. I didn't know this would cause a problem when it was resent to the pharmacy I was looking to go to. When I arrived on my lunch to get it, I was told it was filled at another pharmacy. When I was in the office, the nurse told me the wrong pharmacy name that the Dr. sent it to, so I had to call and wait on hold for 15 minutes with the Pharmacy that the nurse said and it turned out not to be where the prescription was sent. After all of that, I had to ask my husband to go and get it, because it was 3 towns over from where I work and my entire lunch was gone. A tad frustrating and not the best use of my time when you need medication.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
