5.0 star star star star starMy doctor, Dr. Carlson, was incredible. He was one of the best doctors I have seen in years. He had a great bedside manner, took the time to answer my questions, and explained what he thought might be causing my symptoms and what he thought should be done regarding my plan of care. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and I could tell he was very knowledgeable and an expert in his field.

5.0 star star star star starEven though I wasn't scheduled for an endoscopy for another year, Dr.Carlson arranged for me to have it this year as I had a couple symptoms I was concerned about. I like that he took the time to explain to me what would happen during and after the procedure.

5.0 star star star star starAlthough I only spent 10 minutes with Dr. Carlson since his nurse took most of my history and complaints. Dr. Carlson was very friendly and easy to talk to. He explained the procedure and any questions I had. Super approachable and kind.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
