5.0 star star star star starShe was very nice and completed the exam. I felt comfortable with her and felt like she was on top the game. What I didn't like was that at the end of the exam she said she was going to be away and surgery couldn't be scheduled for 3 months! Not a good thing when you have been diagnosed with cancer and just want it gone!

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI do not feel Dr. Hansen is very interested in discussing a/my patient's issues. As I said earlier, if her PA, Ethan, was not a part of that office, I would have not returned a long time ago. I am hoping to find a NW breast surgeon in the suburbs.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI thought that Dr. Hansen did a good job pre-surgery but did not inform me on the option to not do reconstruction surgery or the pros/cons of doing reconstruction with the cancer/tissue removal. I recently saw her for 6 mo post surgery and she was very flat and quick.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Hansen was recommended to me by my sister, who also had Dr. Hansen as her doctor. Dr. Hansen takes the time to explain the tests and surgery and she also takes the time to answers questions related to surgery and follow up tests.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
