Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and Venous Stenosis

Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) occurs when the intracranial pressure increases without an obviously perceptible reason. Patients with IIH often experience headaches as well as visual loss or blurring. Some patients with IIH may also experience dural venous sinus stenosis, characterized by decreased blood flow through the channels that drain blood from the brain.
