5.0 star star star star starDr Barcelo is professional, friendly and willing to spend the time exploding her decision. She is also the first doctor who spent the time showing me the actual brain scan and the workings of my brain. She was thorough in her education as well as carrying. Kudos to her and those she is training.

5.0 star star star star starDr Barcelo has been great even though we have not found any relief for Lindas headaches .Dr Barcelo explained to Linda not to give up hope that she is continuing to try to find something to help Linda which gave Linda hope that there is something out there to help with the chronic pain she is suffering from .

5.0 star star star star starDr. Barcelo gave me my life back. Her empathy, willingness to listen and give evidence based care is apparent. It took me several providers within NWM to find her, and I wish all could be her first stop. Dr. Barcelo did not rush the appt, gave practical recommendations and even provided evidence that a physician within the hospital had given misinformation on several accounts regarding my care. Dr. Barcelo continued care under the “test not guess†standard, which was helpful to give a baseline that other neurologists in NWM were not able to provide.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderShe made up comments in her notes about my last Botox treatment that I never said. I told her that I saw no change in headache but she put in notes I saw 50 percent improvement in severity frequency and duration of migraine which is a flat out lie that I never said and I'm on disability for migraine if they do check on medical visits and see in her notes that I said I was better when I most definitely never said I was I don't know how that could impact my eligibility

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderDr. Barcelo showed zero compassion when I fell to the floor right in front of her. She walked away after being told that I was feeling faint and dizzy after receiving the Botox for migraine, without doing or saying anything.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Barcelo is a wonderful listener, educator and advocate. I wish I had found her sooner. She shared her rationale and foundations to question another NWM provider’s recommendations. It’s hard to believe the discrepancies between providers, however, I am happy to have a plan to help better my health.

5.0 star star star star starDr Barcelo is efficient and friendly. She is very competent in performing the procedures. I like that I typically do not have to wait very long in either the exam or waiting room. This makes me feel like she values my time, especially for these visits where I am just coming for an injection.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
