Dr Woodward was very patient with my Dad and mom and recognized some of the challenges from interacting remotely. She structured the call to cover the initial needs of the patient and provided very good follow-up resources.

She actually listened to my mother and gave suggestions instead of mandating. She is the first doctor in over 20 years to listen to me about addressing a powerful medication that may be effecting my mother's memory.

Dr. Woodward has been personable and professional. She is comprehensive and aware of my health concerns and has made some helpful recommendations. Her staff already scheduled my next visit. The social worker, Michelle [last name], has also been attentive and helpful. The two obviously work very well together.

Dr. Woodword is an inspiring teacher. A relatively short time with her gave me a far better understanding of the pillars of cognitive health. As a highly introverted person who has been blessed with a rich inner life focused on the things that matter, by my standards, and I think by His, I am already a super ager. But, without disturbing any of that, I can add to it temporally from the discoveries of NWM research. NWM has shown that social engagement can work wonders. I socialize, but it is narrowly focused on quality, not quantity. Since I retired 13 years ago, I have declined most general invitations from my former partners. After meeting with Dr. Woodward, I accepted one. The organizer of the event who is promoting attendance sent out this email : "Late breaking news. John Rogers will attend." And before I do, I'll play Sudoku and the NYT's new puzzle PIPS. I listened and learned because Dr. Woodward knows how to communicate and make a difference. I believe she has and will for me.

The questions and test seemed very appropriate for aging and possible memory loss, particularly drawing a clock with a specific time.

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
