5.0 star star star star starShe is like a breath of fresh air. She shows compassion and is not a "just the facts" type of doctor. She laid out the complicated transplant process in a clear manner without a need to create diagrams though I imagine she would be happy to do so if requested. Her manner is warm, patient and you know she gets how one is feeling. I like that she was straightforward. Has a sense of humor which is key. She provided the encouragement I needed. I left feeling that I am in very good hands. She is part of a team which is very reassuring to me.

5.0 star star star star starLuckily, I don't know anyone in need of a hematologist/oncologist but if so, I would highly recommend Dr Adekola and the team of NWH not only for this specialty or anything else. For those living in Chicago, why would they choose to go to any less facility!?!??

She always has answers to whatever questions that I may have during my visit too as do all of the nurses and lab technicians too.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
