5.0 star star star star starDr. Stricsek has been the only doctor that has explain to me step by step why he doesn't believe that surgery is the option for my back pain. I already had 2 operations in my spine. He really cares for the patient health. There isn't too many doctors that put vocation as their go first values.

5.0 star star star star starSo many reasons …. The way he explains your condition and possible options for treatment is explained in understandable manner. He requests and encourages questions and understanding from the patient. He displays a very approachable and friendly manner. He is always on time but never makes you feel rushed, he keeps family informed and at ease. I was not able to walk before the spinal fusion surgery this winter but was able to move and walk assisted the week after. Cannot thank him and his staff enough!

5.0 star star star star starVery rarely do you find a doctor who is so willing to talk options, pain and solutions in detail. Although he felt surgery wasn’t an answer to my issues, he took great care in guiding me what to do. I felt at peace when I left

5.0 star star star star starDr. Stricsek was very attentive to my particular issue and asked questions to fully understand my concerns. He assured me that while he could and would help, there were better procedures elsewhere that could fix my injury while doing less invasive surgical damage. I was thoroughly impressed that he was willing to send me to another surgeon to help me find not just care, but the best procedure and most helpful care for my issue.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderShowed little concern for my condition. Downplayed my pain and what my test result images showed. Dismissed my pain as muscular. Not knowing two other doctors had discussed my MRI with me and told me the nerve compressions were severe on one side and severe on the other side, as well as having multiple bulging disc. Offered no options for relief beyond what I am already doing which is not working well at this time. Worst Dr visit I have ever had.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
