5.0 star star star star starHe was very thorough and knowledgeable. I had a consultation with another Doctor and I felt Dr Bethke was much more competent and I liked his calm manner. He put me at ease and I feel as though he will do a great job

5.0 star star star star starI was referred to Dr. Bethke by my daughters boss. They got to work extremely quick. I went from one thing right into another thing and before I knew it I was sitting there waiting for surgery. And I assume time is of the essence.

5.0 star star star star starOMG. I thank God for blessing us with such a brilliant doctor! He's highly recommended by my colleague! Lots of experience with surgery; one can tell from the very first visit with him (guiding/leading the way, explaining things to help one make the right decision). The surgery went very well, woke up from recovery feeling very positive with just some slight discomfort. His team is prepared, administered some oral pain med that did the trick and I was able to sleep the entire night without having to take extra dose of pain med. Instructions on what do do post-op is also vital...and his team did guide me through. Thanks so much to Dr Bethke and his team. They are all beyond amazing!!!🥰â¤

5.0 star star star star starHe was willing to try BCS even though it was a large enough area that most would have gone straight to doing a mastectomy. I needed to at least try BCS to live with the mastectomy if we ultimately had to go that route. The BCS was successful and I am a very happy patient!

5.0 star star star star starI felt that I was treated as an individual and not a disease. They made feel that they genuinely cared about my welfare. And I was not rushed into making a major decision. I was given reference material on breast cancer to help me to make an informed decision about my treatment.

5.0 star star star star starHe was able to see me sooner as my symptoms became worse. I have another upcoming appointment and feel more at ease about my condition after first appointment. Nurse Lisa was also extremely kind, helpful, and quick to respond to my communications.

5.0 star star star star starI emailed him on Christmas Eve before I had ever seen him. He reviewed my chart and got back to me within 90 minutes. Words are inadequate to describe the comfort that he provided, as well as my amazement at how quickly he responded on perhaps the biggest family holiday of the year!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
