5.0 star star star star starDr. Fremgen is a fantastic family doctor. He has been our primary doctor for over 30 years. He listens to our concerns, and keeps me/us ahead of what might be happening to me/us as we get older. We love Dr. Fremgen.

5.0 star star star star starAs above: Any issues that I want to discuss are taken care of clearly and concisely. Blood tests are discussed and explained in depth. I'm carefully examined and questioned as to any other issues I might have.

5.0 star star star star starWe have had him for decades and he has helped keep us healthy. I most appreciate the Dr recommendations he gives us when we need a specialist. He listens and is kind and down to earth and knowledgeable.

4.0 star star star star star_borderDr Fremgen is a GREAT family physician. He has been wonderful for years as he tried to help me navigate through my pain. 7 years ago he told me it was time to see a pain specialist. I did and he was good for some things, but after he left the practice I could no longer find someone to provide me with ANY pain meds. No one wants anything to do with me because they don’t want to prescribe pain meds. That now includes Dr Fremgen. He nods and listens but does nothing more than that. He still cares for my thyroid and a few other issues, but claims he can’t prescribe pain meds anymore. So I’m screwed. I no longer know where to go or what to do. It’s sad. In many ways Dr Fremgen is a full10 rating. But I don’t know if it’s him or Northwest Medicine that has made these rules but something has to change. My life is horrible at this point.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
