Electronic Cigarettes Education and Prevention

Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital offers E-Cigarette education to middle school students, delivered during one classroom period. The prevention program focuses on increasing student’s knowledge about how e-cigarettes effect the body, social/media influence, resisting pressure to use, and the facts about vaping. The intended outcome of the program is to ensure that students abstain from any e-cigarette use, discontinue use if they have experimented with it, and influence friends and peers not to use E-cigarettes.
