The peripheral nervous system relays information to the central nervous system for transmitting messages to muscles and glands. Disorders of the nervous system can be very complex.

Diagnoses and treatment
Our pediatric neurologists use state-of-the-art therapies and advanced technology to diagnose and treat complex problems of the brain and nervous system. In addition to offering extensive treatments for your child, our multidisciplinary team2 can perform a full-range of noninvasive diagnostic tests on-site including:
- Electroencephalogram (EEG) to record electrical activity in the brain
- Electromyogram (EMG) to record muscle contractions resulting from electrical stimulation
- Lab tests
- Sleep studies to understand the cause of sleep disturbances
- Medical imaging (MRI, CT, PET)
- Neuropsychological testing
