The nervous system regulates and coordinates the body's basic functions and activities. It is made up of two parts. The central nervous system controls thought, behavior and movement. The peripheral nervous system relays information to the central nervous system for transmitting messages to muscles and glands. Disorders of the nervous system can be very complex.
Through an affiliation with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital1, our specialists provide comprehensive care for children living with these types of disorders.
