5.0 star star star star starDr. Woodard took the time to explain in detail the reason for my discomfort and the need for surgical intervention. The procedure was explained in layman's terms. I had complete confidence in him after my visit. On the day of surgery, he put my husband and me at ease. Great bed side manner!!!

5.0 star star star star starHe truly cares about his patients and takes the time to answer all questions or concerns. After a very pain developed and I was messaging between the nurses, he called me at home that night to follow up and give me recommendations. So kind!!

5.0 star star star star starMy whole family as seen Dr. Woodard at one time or another. Dr. Woodard shows real concern for his patients. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Woodard will get to the bottom of what is causing my pain and will take care of the problem.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI feel that Dr.Woodard is good surgeon, but I think he's so experienced in what he does, that he's almost nonchalant in how he comes cross. I do think he cares, but as my first serious surgery, I wish I had handouts and clear instructions in b&w to read. Exactly what to eat day of surgery and within the 1st couple of days.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
