5.0 star star star star starHe is so gifted in what he does. He talks to my children, not about them. He involves them 100% and doesn’t talk down to them. He allows questions and really genuinely creates a relationship with his patients. My 3 boys LOVE him. I appreciate his bedside manner, his knowledge and his humbleness. He is the first to look something up if he has questions. He is such a great pediatrician.

5.0 star star star star starAdam M.Barsella is an amazing doctor. My teenage son hates doctors visits and Dr. Barsella made him feel so comfortable. His skilled and knowledgeable answers were great. As a mother I would definitely recommend him.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Barsella is the most thorough, and compassionate doctor! He listened with intent, takes everything seriously, and NEVER rushes! My daughter has an underlying medical condition and he makes sure to always add that into the factor. He called me on a Friday evening to discuss Ultrasound results so we wouldn't spend the weekend worrying. He truly cares about his patients and doesn't try to just explain off a symptom. We feel so safe in his care for our daughter, and very grateful to have him on our team. He goes above and beyond and we can't imagine having any other pediatrician for our children.

5.0 star star star star starGreat bedside manner with both parent and child. Was thorough and showed knowledge of reviewing my child’s medical history. This was our first time seeing him…we usually see another provider in the practice.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Barsella always treats me and my kids with respect. He acknowledges them and listens to their questions and takes time to develop a relationship with them. He is really detailed, researched, and honest. If he takes time to fully explain everything to me or will let me know he will research further and get back to me if he doesn’t know all the answers. I really appreciate him!

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI’ve loved Dr. Barsella for every appointment with my daughter. I know he has a lot of patients, but today he called my daughter a “he†multiple times. He also never addressed the issue that I shared with the nurse.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
