Who will care for me during my pregnancy and delivery?

NMG Faculty Obstetrics and Gynecology is a group practice. You may see different care providers in the office throughout your pregnancy because our providers’ schedules vary from week to week--they may be in the office, in the hospital for deliveries, performing gynecologic surgery, or working on other administrative, teaching, or research responsibilities.

We all work together to provide you with the best care we can. Northwestern Medicine prides itself as an academic medical center. As such, OB/GYN resident physicians and medical students will be important members of your medical team. Many studies have demonstrated that academic medical centers provide the best care, and we strongly believe that the presence of physicians-in-training is an integral reason for this excellence.

Every aspect of your care will be under the direct supervision of an attending physician. On the day of your delivery, the physician on-call in the hospital will be managing your labor and delivery. Our entire team is dedicated to you and your baby.

Our physicians conduct and support research studies through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. You may be approached to participate in research studies, and we encourage your participation if you are eligible and interested.
