The Gastrointestinal and Oncologic Surgery Program offers gastrointestinal surgery, endocrine surgery, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, and surgical oncology.

Gastrointestinal surgery

Our gastrointestinal (GI) physicians practice out of The Northwestern Medicine Digestive Health Center. The Center diagnoses and treats:

Additionally, our Minimally Invasive Surgery Program treats a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders including achalasia, obesity, gallstones and hernias. The Interventional Endoscopy Program focuses on identifying and treating early cancers and complicated diseases.

Oncologic surgery

Our surgical oncology physicians practice out of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. In partnership with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center, we provide the best possible care to patients, their families and caregivers.
